Goal 1: God’s presence is obvious in the
school
Objectives:
- God’s presence is reflected visually
- God’s presence is reflected in the things that are heard
- Covenant is a safe place for all involved in the school
physically, emotionally, socially and spiritually
- God’s presence is seen in relationships between and among
staff, students and parents
Goal 2: Parents and staff work
together to achieve the Mission
Objectives:
- Parents know and demonstrate the Mission
- Staff know and demonstrate the Mission
- Strong relationships exist among parents and staff
- Effective communication exists between parents and staff
Goal 3: All subjects are taught
from a Christian perspective
Objectives:
- Teachers intentionally include a Christian perspective in their
teaching and in structuring the classroom for optimum learning
- Teachers participate in professional development focusing on
developing and integrating a Christian perspective
- Appropriate to their developmental levels, students are able to
articulate a Christian perspective on their studies
Goal 4: Students are supported
and challenged in their growing relationship with God
Objectives:
- Students are encouraged to grow spiritually from year to
year
- Teachers are equipped to support and challenge students in
their spiritual growth
- The Covenant community worships together
Goal 5: Each student achieves
personal academic excellence
Objectives:
- The learning environment acknowledges and promotes a diversity
of gifts
- Students develop and use their gifts to their fullest extent,
applying themselves rigorously to the task of learning
- Students are prepared for education beyond Covenant
- Success is celebrated
- Students receive the tools needed for personal academic
success
Goal 6: Effective and responsible
leadership is achieved
Objectives:
- Leaders are trained, equipped and encouraged
- The organizational structure is effective and efficient
- Financial resources are collected and allocated in a stewardly
manner
Goal 7: Students develop a
commitment to Christian service within their communities
Objectives:
- Students are trained and equipped to serve
- Students participate in acts of service both within and outside
CCS
- Students learn and practise strategies for living in
community
